Hailey Walch, famously known as “Hawk Tuah Girl,” is under an intense social media microscope following the failure of her cryptocurrency project, Hawkcoin.
Her coin, a meme coin, was launched in 2024, 4th of December 2024. Although the coin was promoted as a valuable coin promising high returns and debuting at a 500 million USD valuation, it plunged by 95% days later.
Investors have since been left in financial devastation losing almost all their investments.
Investors no doubt are very upset and have taken to social media accusing Welch and her entire team of orchestrating a pump-and-dump scheme. She however responded denying her involvement in the accusation. She further claimed that she was also a victim. She explained that the automated bots tampered with the token’s price.
Investors carrying out personal investigations revealed that the blockchain data says otherwise. According to the bloc chain date, the coin plummeted with involvement from insider activities.
Hailey Welch, at the time of writing this article, has not been arrested, however, investors and asking her to take responsibility.
There has been social media buzz on X (formerly known as Twitter) and TikTok about her arrest. A video on TikTok suggests that the overnight star, Welch has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. This video has since become viral.
