Authorities have apprehended a primary suspect, Abdelrahman Ahmed Sallam for the Park Plaza Mall shooting.
The incident left the community of Little Rock, Arkansas mourning as 47-year-old Cynthia Gregory lost her life during the tragedy.
Per authorities, the incident is being investigated as an attempted robbery. According to reports, the incident happened on Monday night, the 27th of January, 2025.
According to police, Sallem Ahmed, an 18 year old was arrested in connection with the crime. Officers reported that they arrived at the scene at 6 pm as soon as they got a 911 emergency call and found Gregory Cynthia suffering from gunshot wounds. Per reports, she was rushed to a hospital however, did not survive the gunshot injury she sustained.
Although authorities are still investigating the case, families and lovers of Cynthia remember her for her kind and uplifting mannerisms. She was a yoga instructor and officer at the Baptist Health Foundation.
