Per multiple reports, Interpol, a security intelligence agency, has arrested one of the alleged child traffickers, Yoel Alter.
According to reports, the 35-year-old Israeli citizen has been accused of being a member of the Lev Tahor. Reports also have it that the aforementioned group is a radical religious sect that has been linked on multiple occasions to child trafficking.
Lev Tahor has been a constant watch for authorities who believe have concrete facts to nail the syndicate. Per the report, authorities over the years have investigated and uncovered patterns of kidnapping and abuse but this notorious group.
At the time of writing this article, full details are still being investigated, we however know, that this arrest marks a critical step in the fight against human trafficking.
Per authority reports, they have rescued more than 160 children from horrible conditions where they’ve repeatedly faced violence and exploitation.
