We report the passing of Cameron Ward, a Highland, Utah-based actor who was highly loved and cherished in the community.
His work was notable with West Valley Arts. Ward has been very active in the acting community since his childhood. He started with the Timpanogos Youth Theatre and over the years graced stages at the Hale Center Theatre, Sundance, and more.
Many of the organizations he had worked with announced his death describing his outstanding talent and contribution during performances.
Timpanogos Youth Theater wrote:
Our hearts are broken over the recent passing of our friend, and talented performer, Cameron Ward.
Cameron had a bright light that he generously shared with others on and off stage. We had the privilege of working with him and his family on multiple productions since 2013.
Cameron began his theater education through our program, and we feel incredibly blessed that we got to watch him grow, work hard and develop his talent over the years.
His last production with AFYT, now TimpYT, was Frozen Jr in 2020 where he played the role of Kristoff. In recent years he has had opportunities to perform locally with the Hale Center Theater Orem, Sundance, the Scera, West Valley Arts and many more theater companies. Many have been touched by his sweet spirit and immense talent.
Our hearts are with the Ward family at this time. We will miss him fiercely. We love you Cameron.
Ward is remembered for his smile and kindness. West Valley Arts praised his dedication, saying, “Cameron’s kindness and talent will forever inspire those who knew him.”
