In a sad piece of news, figure Skater, Maxim Naumov loses both parents in a heartbreaking plane crash near Washington, D.C.
According to multiple reports, his parents Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, died tragically on Wednesday, 29th of January, 2025 when their plane, American Airlines Flight 5342, crashed into a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter.
His parents, Evgenia Shishkova, 52, and Vadim Naumov, 55 were renowned world-champion figure skaters and respected coaches.
His parents had just seen him compete at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Kansas, where he finished in 4th position.
At this trying time, he’s surrounded by family and friends who are showing support every step of the way.
The Figure Skater community has also paid tribute and showed support for their loss.
