In sad news, we report the death of Victor Ivan, who was the Chief Editor of Ravaya Newspaper. He sadly passed at the age of 76.
Victor was a respected journalist fondly called “Podi Athula”. In Sri Lanka, he was perceived as a very fearless journalist who exposed to the world corruption and injustice in the country.
While in office, the Newspaper he headed was perceived as a leader of integrity, truth, and justice. Little wonder why it became a trusted source for news and a “no blemish” kind of Newspaper.
His work incontrovertibly brought integrity to Sri Lankan journalism. Other news outlets all over the world trusted and cited him in multiple publications. No doubt his work off and in the newsroom became an inspiration to many.
Although he has passed, he will however be forever cherished and appreciated as a man of integrity.
